Laboratory tests are often part of a routine checkup to look for changes in your health. They can help identify a problem or condition, provide a diagnosis, plan and develop a treatment plan, assess whether the treatment plan is working, or monitor the issue over time.
Laboratory tests check samples collected from you by your doctor, either in the clinic or at a special laboratory located elsewhere. A technician or your doctor then analyzes the samples and interprets the results, and here is where the expertise comes in.
Technicians and / or doctors need to assess whether your results fall within the range of good or normal health, or if they fall outside of this range. This will inform the doctor exactly what the condition might be, or help to rule other conditions out. Other tests might then need to be conducted.
No two people are exactly the same, and therefore many factors may affect test results. These include:
- Your sex, age and race
- Your diet
- Any medication you might take
- Your observance of pre-test instructions
For these reasons doctors need to be confident and well trained at interpreting test results. At Hugsa our Doctors are experts at this. We use only the most up-to-date, proven and accurate methods throughout our testing process, partnering with only the best laboratories in Chiang Mai, Thailand and beyond. Your health, and your trust, is our priority.
